Originally described as ‘XXL’, a spokesperson clarified the first two episodes of the new season would be 60 minutes in length, while the final four would be 80 minutes long, according to Premiere’s Twitter. Game of Thrones season eight happened to be on Orange Cinema Series’ itinerary and a spokesperson from the French TV channel told the media how long each episode would be. Premiere employees attended a press event held by French TV channel Orange Cinema Series, in which they detailed their upcoming programming. French entertainment site Premiere had previously given a good idea as to what the runtimes for Game of Thrones season eight would be.
